Ventilation Strategies for Highly Occupied Public Environments: A Review

In urban public transportation and highly diversified air environments, pollutant exposure is becoming an increasing concern in terms of health personal safety. Herein, the scientific literature on quality virus transmission densely crowded environments reviewed to determine effective control methods. The research results are classified basis different environments. Much has been conducted pollutants subways buses. High particulate matter concentrations still a serious problem, but few studies spread viruses exist. With existing types ventilation systems, local exhaust may be efficient way remove pollutants. Air sensors should distributed spaces achieve real-time display concentration data. When pollution levels exceed safe values, scientifically designed filtration schemes implemented reduce levels. Occupant activities among important factors that make more complex. analysis herein contribute assessment indoor protection occupants from cross-infection.
